The room was big, comfy, clean and had a refrig and plenty of outlets for devices. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ashwin Arikere02:11 22 Dec 17Just checked in here to pick up my keys to McCully house. Service was great. Visited again to grab breakfast. Just scones and coffee but it was good!Damien Hendricks16:31 15 Dec 17I like the location and the price. I visit for business so it works. The rooms are clean. The bfast is carb only, not my cup of tea, but I do stay here most every time I am in southern oregon.Mark Chappell02:34 04 Dec 17Lovely rooms. Huge comfortable bed. Bathrooms are a little on the small side. Is close to town with a few restaurants near by.April Silva19:14 25 Oct 17We stayed in the Wine Country Inn Suite and were rather disappointed. The size of the room was adequate but the walls were paper thin, we could hear everything! The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower was that of an RV and the mold was extremely off-putting. With the square footage of the bathroom, a little money should be spent to install a shower that is more satisfactory. The staff was friendly!Scott Johnson15:12 14 Oct 17This hotel provided excellent service and hospitality. went out of their way to accommodate us and even mailed back items that had been forgotten in room after check out.

Our Discover Oregon Wine Tour Package is a self-driven wine tasting and vineyard tour showcasing local wineries, many offering case discounts to our distinguished guests. Southern Oregon is home to a large variety of vineyards – more than a single day experiences.
For a complete comprehensive guide to area vineyards, The Southern Oregon Wine Association website provides maps and detailed information to 58 local area wineries and tasting rooms.
Six miles north of Jacksonville along highway 238 is the gateway to the Applegate Valley Wine Trail. This breathtaking journey through the Applegate Valley is the home to 18 artisan wineries providing an intimate tasting experience in rural countryside. In addition to their unique wines, several of the vineyards regularly feature outdoor live music events throughout summer and fall.
To get the full variety of wines that Oregon has to offer, come to Jacksonville mid-August to attend the Oregon Wine Experience. This tasting event features over 100 Oregon wineries in a central location in an annual fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network. Book early as rooms for this event sell out quickly.Music, Art & TheaterSouthern Oregon is rich in both history and culture. Between the dots of your culture itinerary you find yourself driving breathtaking country roads between world class performances.
Our most renowned events are the Britt Festival, just a hop away from Wine Country Inn, and the Shakespeare Festival just a few miles down a country road in the neighboring town of Ashland Oregon. Both events run throughout the summer and into early fall. Book early for these events as accommodations fill up quickly.
There are three repertoire theater companies in the near vicinity to our inn. The closest is the Randall Theatre Company with locations in both Jacksonville and eight miles down the road in Medford Oregon. They showcase independent and original productions. The Craterian Theatre, also in Medford keeps a full schedule of musical and dramatic events. This is the second largest theater in the area (after the Shakespeare festival) and features both local talent and traveling performances showings every weekend. The Camelot Theatre in nearby Talent Oregon keeps to the familiar classics of Broadway style performances and introspective on influential musical genius.
Crafted art is a lifestyle in the remote parts of our region. Exceptional talent reflects the beauty, peace, calm and adventure of the area. The Southern Oregon Artists Resource works to connect local artists with events, cooperative galleries, and promotion of the art experience. Their website can guide you to the right place to find that perfect keepsake to memorialize your trip to southern Oregon.
Outdoor Activities, Tours & Day TripsWhen it is time to get out and play, Southern Oregon has plenty to offer.
Just steps out the front door and down the block you can find your way to the Jacksonville Woodlands Trails and Arboretum. This 320 acre protected zone of scenic wooded hillsides surrounding the National Historic Landmark city of Jacksonville has nearly 20 miles of maintained hiking trails for all fitness levels with options for self-guided nature trails with brochures provided at the trailheads. A true aboretum, there are plenty of opportunities to learn about the local flora and fauna.
A fun way to take in the National Historic Landmark that is downtown Jacksonville, is via a Historic Jacksonville Segway Tour. These guided tours on personal transportation devices take you through downtown Jacksonville where your guide will share with you the rich history and architecture of this beautiful gold rush boomtown lost in time.
An alternative to the Segway tours, for those who prefer a more conventional tour, there is the Jacksonville Trolley Tour. The trolley gives a 45 minute tour of the vintage homes and buildings that make up Historic Downtown Jacksonville. The trolley operates Friday through Sunday in May and October, and daily throughout the summer with 5 trips daily to work with your travel itinerary.
A great half-day trip to get out and exercise is the Table Rock hike. A beautiful country drive takes you to the trail-head of these iconic volcanic plateaus. The trails from the base to the crest of the plateaus are about one and a half miles long with an elevation gain of 720 to 780 feet. There are numerous resting areas with interpretive panels for learning about these unique geological structures. The BLM offers a comprehensive fun filled curriculum of activities and educational materials for all ages to complement the adventure.
Our region offers two majestic day trips.
Crater Lake is about one and a half to two hours east of our inn by car. Formed in the caldera of the former Mount Mazama, this crystal clear blue lake is the deepest lake in the United States, and the 7th deepest accessible lake in the world. This National Park is a true treasure. While one of the most photographed places in the United States, the epic vista from the rim is truly best experienced in person.
About equidistant to the West is a slightly less renowned but equally awe-inspiring experience of the Oregon Caves. Also a National Park, the Oregon Caves are vast caverns formed in the marble mountains of Southern Oregon. This is one of our favorite adventures for foul weather days when wind or “liquid sunshine” may be in the forecast. The Oregon Caves offer guided tours from a standard educational walk-through to a complete spelunking adventure. The caves maintain a consistent weather pattern year round of a brisk 44 degrees Fahrenheit. Be sure to bring a sweatshirt, even in the summer months.
